Matthias Müller / Andreas Willers

This self-titled collaboration between experimental guitarist Andreas Willers and filmmaker and sound artist Matthias Müller reflects the intersection of avant-garde composition and field-recording-based sonic art. Released on the Trouble In The East label in 2025, the work continues the long-standing tradition of German experimentalism, where Willers' established mastery of guitar textures meets Müller's distinct cinematic approach to sound construction.

The album is representative of the boutique label's commitment to documentation of unconventional musical pairings. By bridging the gap between improvised instrumental performance and processed acoustic environments, the duo aims to challenge standard listener expectations of melody and rhythm. The project was received within the specialized experimental and contemporary music circuits, valued for its focus on timbral exploration rather than traditional song structure.
