The People Vs Vanlustbader

The People Vs Vanlustbader serves as the sole studio album from the Australian alternative rock project Vanlustbäder, released through Warner Music Australia in 2006. The project emerged during a period of experimentation within the Australian indie music scene, blending elements of post-punk and garage rock. It stands as a singular entry in the label's mid-2000s catalog, representing a brief but distinct effort to capture a gritty, unpolished sound that was gaining traction in the local club circuits at the time.

The album's design and aesthetic reflect the DIY sensibilities common to the era, prioritizing a stark, minimalist visual identity that mirrors the raw nature of the compositions. While the release did not achieve widespread commercial mainstream success, it remains a documented piece of the Warner Music Australia archive from that decade. The production is characterized by its heavy reliance on analog-style textures and direct, energetic performances, typical of the creative goals held by artists signed to the imprint during that specific window of development.
