La Zorra y el Cuervo #240

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban satirical and humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s, serving as a primary platform for political commentary, social critique, and caricature under the state-sponsored press. Issue #240 reflects the magazine's role as a staple of Cuban pop culture, where contributors utilized anthropomorphic animals—the fox and the crow—to allegorically navigate daily life, bureaucracy, and international relations through sharp, illustrative wit.

The publication was highly regarded for its distinctive graphic style, which leaned into mid-century illustration traditions adapted to the local aesthetic of the era. The design choices were intended to balance entertainment with didactic social messaging, making it a critical archive of how Cuban visual artists interpreted their changing society throughout the latter half of the 20th century.
