La Zorra y el Cuervo #246

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban satirical comic magazine that began publication in 1964. It served as a vital platform for social and political commentary, often utilizing humor and sharp wit to address the realities of daily life and bureaucracy in post-revolutionary Cuba. By the time issue #246 was released, the magazine had established itself as a staple of the Cuban literary and artistic landscape, maintaining a consistent editorial voice through its distinctive blend of caricatures and short humorous vignettes.

The publication was part of a larger tradition of Latin American political cartooning, drawing on a legacy of graphic design that prioritized accessibility and biting satire. The visual style of the magazine was characterized by bold, clean linework and expressive character design, intended to communicate complex social observations with immediacy. While individual issue production was collaborative, the work consistently reflected the era's focus on institutional critique and the cultural mandate of the period to blend entertainment with ideological education.
