La Zorra y el Cuervo #95

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that drew inspiration from the classic fables of Aesop and La Fontaine while adapting them to the socio-political climate of mid-20th-century Cuba. Issue number 95 reflects the publication's signature blend of biting satire, anthropomorphic character archetypes, and modernist graphic design, which served as both entertainment and a vehicle for cultural commentary during its extensive print run.

The visual language of the magazine was heavily influenced by the international cartooning styles prevalent in the 1950s and 60s, featuring clean lines and expressive character work that prioritized readability and wit. Created by a rotating roster of talented Cuban illustrators and writers, these issues were designed to appeal to a broad audience, securing a place in the country's literary history as a quintessential example of period-specific satirical periodical design.
