La Zorra y el Cuervo #96

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic book series established in the mid-20th century, serving as a cultural staple that adapted the classic Aesop's fable characters into a recurring domestic narrative. Issue 96 reflects the series' commitment to pedagogical storytelling and satirical humor, which flourished under the editorial guidance of the Editorial Juvenil and later the Editora Abril. The publication acted as a vehicle for both entertainment and social commentary, maintaining a distinct visual style that echoed mid-century Latin American illustration traditions.

The character designs for the fox and the crow were refined over decades, moving from their original fabled archetypes into more contemporary, anthropomorphic figures defined by their witty banter and misadventures. Artists working on the series during this period emphasized expressive line work and bold, accessible layouts designed to engage younger readers while remaining resonant for adult audiences. Upon its release, the issue was widely integrated into the Cuban educational and recreational ecosystem, solidifying its status as an enduring artifact of the nation's print history.
