Lupo Alberto Collection #19

Lupo Alberto, created by Guido Silvervestri under the pseudonym Silver in 1973, began as a newspaper strip before evolving into the successful Lupo Alberto Collection series. This long-running publication initiative was designed to gather episodic adventures of the eponymous blue wolf, his partner Marta, and their farmyard counterparts into a portable, serial format. By the time the series reached its nineteenth issue, it had become a fixture in Italian popular culture, reflecting the growth of Silver's signature satirical tone.

The design of the collection centers on Silver's distinct, expressive caricature style, which transitioned from simple gag-a-day strips to more complex narratives over the years. The nineteenth issue serves as a testament to the series' enduring appeal, maintaining the minimalist, character-driven aesthetic that defined the McKenzie farm universe. It was received by readers as a quintessential piece of Italian comics history, lauded for its ability to balance lighthearted humor with subtle, often poignant commentary on social dynamics.
