Lupo Alberto Collection #23

Lupo Alberto, created by Silver (Guido Silvestri) in 1974, stands as one of Italy's most enduring comic strip characters. The series began as a satirical take on rural life, centered on the blue wolf Lupo Alberto and his attempts to court Martha the hen, often thwarted by the watchdog Moses. The collection series was designed to anthologize these daily strips, preserving the evolution of Silver's clean, minimalist aesthetic and his transition from slapstick humor to more complex social commentary.

The 23rd issue in this collection continues the tradition of gathering serialized content into a durable format for enthusiasts. Silver’s design philosophy remained rooted in the expressive power of simple lines and character-driven gags, which allowed the comic to resonate across generations. Upon release, these collected volumes were widely praised for making the archive of the McKenzie Farm accessible, solidifying the strip's status as a staple of Italian pop culture.
