New Normal #4

New Normal #4 is an installment from the New Normal series, an independent comic project that emerged during a period of experimentation within the small-press scene. The series was designed to explore themes of societal adaptation and personal transition, utilizing a distinct minimalist aesthetic that favors clean lines and stark narrative focus. The creators intended for the work to serve as a commentary on the shifting cultural landscape of the early 2020s, grounding abstract emotional shifts in the quiet, mundane details of daily life.

The design of the issue reflects a deliberate choice to prioritize readability and atmospheric pacing over traditional high-octane comic visuals. By stripping back the ornamental elements often found in mainstream titles, the illustrators sought to create a more intimate reading experience that required the audience to dwell on each panel. While the series remains a niche entry in the contemporary independent market, it has been noted by design enthusiasts for its cohesive visual language and commitment to a subdued, intentional color palette.
