New Normal #7

New Normal was an underground comic series published in the early 1990s, emerging from a period of experimental independent press that sought to deconstruct traditional tropes of the medium. The series was designed to reflect the anxieties and shifting cultural landscapes of the era, often utilizing stark black-and-white visuals and non-linear storytelling to engage with themes of existential alienation and societal transition.

The creative direction for the series relied heavily on a raw, minimalist aesthetic, with the illustration style deliberately opting for a gritty, unpolished quality to mirror the narratives. Issue #7, much like the preceding numbers, was crafted to be an immersive piece of subversive literature, finding its core audience among collectors of the alternative comics movement who valued avant-garde expression over mainstream commercial polish.
