Project Riese #5

Project Riese, an underground comic series exploring the historical mysteries of the Nazi-era construction project in the Owl Mountains, emerged as a niche contribution to the genre of historical fiction and conspiracy-themed graphic storytelling. Issue #5 continues the narrative arc centered on the subterranean tunnels and the dark, speculative experiments allegedly conducted within them, aiming to ground the occult and sci-fi elements in a grim, industrial aesthetic that mirrors the actual harsh conditions of the historical site.

The creative team behind the series sought to synthesize existing legends surrounding the Riese complex with a noir-inspired visual style. The work is noted for its evocative paneling and research-informed atmosphere, which intends to capture the claustrophobic nature of the tunnels. Upon its release, it was received primarily by fans of historical thrillers and independent comic readers, appreciated for its commitment to the gritty, lore-heavy interpretation of the Second World War.
