Psylocke: Ninja #3

Psylocke: Ninja, a four-issue limited series published by Marvel Comics in 2000, was developed to further explore the background of Betsy Braddock, a character whose history had become increasingly tangled due to complex body-swap storylines. This third issue serves as the penultimate chapter in the arc, which focuses on Psylocke's roots as a ninja within the Hand organization and her ongoing struggle to reconcile her psychic powers with her martial arts training.

The series was written by Fabian Nicieza and illustrated by Cliff Richards, with cover art provided by John Cassaday. The creative team aimed to ground the character in a gritty, high-stakes espionage tone that contrasted with her typical team-based appearances in the X-Men titles. While the series was designed to provide clarity on her character evolution, it is generally remembered as a focused genre piece that emphasized the aesthetic of 2000s-era superhero comics, prioritizing cinematic layouts and a darker color palette.
