Supplément de Zorro #76

Supplément de Zorro was a long-running French comic publication that emerged during the mid-20th century, a period when American adventure heroes gained immense popularity across Europe. These issues were typically produced in a smaller format, often as inexpensive black-and-white booklets intended for serial distribution among younger readers. They functioned as a supplement to the broader Zorro comic franchise, which adapted the swashbuckling California-based vigilante for a market hungry for tales of justice and colonial-era heroics.

The artistic style of this series followed the tradition of Franco-Belgian adventure comics, utilizing dynamic, high-contrast ink work typical of the era's pulp-adjacent publishing houses. While the primary creative teams rotated frequently to maintain the high volume of content required by the magazine format, the design consistently focused on readability and action-oriented panels. The series was well-received as an accessible entry point for children, cementing Zorro's status as a quintessential cultural icon in the French-speaking world long after his original creation.
