Supplément de Zorro #8

Supplément de Zorro was a French-language comic series published in the post-war era, appearing as part of the broader wave of popular culture adaptations that brought American heroic figures to European readers. Produced by Éditions de la SEPP, the series focused on episodic adventures that mirrored the cinematic appeal of the iconic masked vigilante, catering to a young readership eager for serialized, accessible storytelling in the 1950s.

The visual identity of these issues relied on the established iconography of the Zorro character, blending classic pulp aesthetics with mid-century printing techniques. The artists tasked with these illustrations aimed to maintain the suspense and swift action associated with the character's swashbuckling legacy. While the series served as a staple for French newsstands at the time, it is remembered today primarily as a charming artifact of international character licensing during the golden age of serialized comics.
