The Ice Guy & the Cool Girl #11

The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, known in Japan as Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi, began as a web manga series created by Miyuki Tonogaya. Debuting on social media platforms, the series gained popularity for its whimsical, low-stakes romantic comedy premise revolving around Himuro, a descendant of a snow spirit, and his stoic colleague Fuyutsuki. The eleventh volume serves as part of the ongoing tankobon releases that curate these serialized chapters into a cohesive narrative, maintaining the artist's signature clean, expressive aesthetic that emphasizes emotional subtlety over complex linework.

The series emerged during a period of increased interest in workplace-based supernatural comedies. Tonogaya’s design philosophy centers on the contrast between the fantastical nature of the characters—who accidentally freeze their surroundings when flustered—and the mundane, relatable setting of a modern Japanese office. The work has been positively received by readers for its gentle pacing and the lighthearted dynamic between the leads, which eventually facilitated an expansion into a television anime adaptation produced by Zero-G and Liber.
