The Ice Guy & the Cool Girl #8

The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, known in Japan as Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi, began as a web manga series created by Miyuki Tonogaya. Debuting on social media platforms, the series quickly gained popularity for its gentle, workplace-centered romance involving descendants of supernatural creatures living in modern-day Tokyo. The eighth volume represents a continued progression of the evolving relationship between the stoic Himuro and his colleague Fuyutsuki, maintaining the series' established aesthetic of soft character designs and slice-of-life humor.

Tonogaya’s art style is characterized by expressive, clean lines and a focus on subtle character interactions, which has been widely praised for its soothing atmosphere. Upon its transition to physical print via Square Enix, the series saw significant success, leading to an anime adaptation. Volume eight continues the narrative trajectory established early in the series, balancing the fantastical elements of the characters' icy or snowy powers with the grounded, everyday struggles of office life in Japan.
