The Ice Guy & the Cool Girl #6

The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, known in Japanese as Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi, began as a series of short social media comics by author and illustrator Miyuki Tonogaya. Debuting on Twitter in 2018, the work gained immediate popularity for its gentle humor and the charming contrast between its supernatural protagonist, Himuro, and his stoic colleague, Fuyutsuki. The series was later serialized through Square Enix’s Gangan Pixiv platform, allowing the simple observational humor of office life to expand into a nuanced romantic comedy.

The sixth volume of the series continues the established aesthetic of Tonogaya, which favors soft linework and emotive character expressions to convey the subtle budding romance between the descendants of mythical beings and their human coworkers. Like its predecessors, volume six serves as a compilation of chapters that further develop the supportive ensemble cast. It was well-received by fans of the 'iyashikei' or healing subgenre, who praised the series for its consistent ability to balance supernatural elements with the relatable anxieties of modern workplace dynamics.
