Where it came from
The Infinity Crusade #6, published by Marvel Comics in 1993, served as the climactic conclusion to the third chapter of Jim Starlin’s cosmic trilogy. Following the events of The Infinity Gauntlet and The Infinity War, this limited series was crafted to explore the ideological divide between the hero Adam Warlock and his antagonistic counterpart, the Goddess. The narrative was designed to deconstruct the concepts of faith and zealotry within the Marvel Universe, pitting the cosmic entity against a vast assembly of Earth's greatest heroes.
The interior artwork was provided by Ron Lim, whose clean, expansive style became a hallmark of Marvel's cosmic aesthetic during the nineties. His work sought to capture the immense scale of the multi-dimensional conflict while maintaining the emotional stakes of the character-driven story. Upon its release, the issue was received as the definitive wrap-up to the series, noted by readers for its resolution of the complex metaphysical standoff that had defined the preceding issues.
