The Occult Files Of Dr. Spektor #10

The Occult Files of Dr. Spektor was published by Gold Key Comics, launching in 1972 as part of the publisher's push into supernatural and horror-themed storytelling. Created by writer Donald F. Glut and artist Dan Spiegle, the series centered on Adam Spektor, an occult investigator who traveled the globe to solve paranormal mysteries. This specific issue, number 10, was released in the mid-1970s, a period when the series was well-regarded for its atmospheric blending of traditional detective tropes with darker, mystical elements.

Dan Spiegle's design work on the series is noted for a clean, illustrative style that contrasted with the more garish horror comics of the era. The visual language aimed to ground Dr. Spektor as a grounded, sophisticated figure despite the fantastical scenarios he faced. While the series did not reach the same mainstream circulation as major superhero titles, it cultivated a dedicated following among readers who appreciated Glut's commitment to building a cohesive, arcane lore within the Gold Key universe.
