The Vision and the Scarlet Witch #7

Published in 1983 as part of the second limited series dedicated to the Vision and Scarlet Witch, this issue was written by Bill Mantlo with interior art by Rick Leonardi. The series was designed to explore the domestic life of the couple following their departure from the Avengers, specifically focusing on their attempts to build a family in the suburbs of Leonia, New Jersey. This issue is particularly notable for its integration into the broader Marvel tapestry, as it features the couple's encounter with Agatha Harkness and provides critical context regarding the magical origins of their children.

The creative direction by Mantlo and Leonardi sought to balance the high-stakes science fiction and fantasy elements inherent to the characters with the grounded, often melancholic atmosphere of their suburban existence. While the series was aimed at fleshing out the internal dynamics of the pair, issue number seven stands out for its pivotal role in the long-term narrative trajectory of the Scarlet Witch's history. It was well-received by readers of the era who were invested in character-driven storytelling, cementing its status as a foundational piece for fans of the characters' complex relationship.
