Where it came from
The Casey Jones Pop! figure, numbered 20 in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, was released by Funko as part of their Television line. It depicts the iconic vigilante character from the Mirage Studios comic series and subsequent television adaptations, capturing his signature hockey mask, spiked shoulder pads, and golf bag full of sports-equipment weaponry. The design choice reflects the gritty, street-level aesthetic that defined the character during his debut in the mid-1980s.
This specific figure was later designated as a Specialty Series exclusive, a program introduced by Funko to support local comic book shops and small retailers. By limiting the distribution of certain figures to these independent storefronts, the company aimed to foster community engagement and drive foot traffic to physical hobby locations. The Specialty Series branding on the box signifies this effort to maintain a connection between the collectible market and traditional brick-and-mortar retail outlets.
