Where it came from
The Casey Jones Blacklight Pop! figure was released as part of a specialized variant line by Funko, designed to celebrate the iconic vigilante from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. This version utilizes a high-contrast, neon-focused color palette specifically engineered to fluoresce under ultraviolet light, a common stylistic trend in the collectible toy market that draws inspiration from the aesthetic sensibilities of 1970s and 80s pop culture.
The figure draws its visual identity from the original Mirage Studios comic book character, maintaining his signature hockey mask and assortment of sports-equipment weaponry. The design team focused on shifting the character's traditional muted color scheme into a vivid, multi-chromatic spectrum, creating a distinct visual departure from the standard retail release. It was received by the collector community as a niche aesthetic variation, often sought by enthusiasts of the brand's 'Blacklight' series for its unique display potential under specialty lighting.
