Cheshire Cat (Movie) (Glow in the Dark)

The Cheshire Cat Pop! vinyl, numbered 178 within the Disney series, was released by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the 1951 animated classic, Alice in Wonderland. As part of a broader push to capture the surreal, whimsical aesthetics of mid-century Disney animation, this figure depicts the character in his iconic, mischievous pose. The glow-in-the-dark variant serves as a thematic nod to the character's ability to vanish into thin air, leaving only his grin behind in the dark woods of Wonderland.

The design follows Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, featuring an oversized head and simplified, geometric features that prioritize recognizability over strict anatomical accuracy. While the sculpt captures the character's distinct striped pattern and wide-eyed expression, the glow-in-the-dark application was intended to add a tactile, novelty element for collectors. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of the franchise who appreciated the specific character interpretation, cementing its place as a staple piece for Disney-themed collections.
