Chester Cheetah

Chester Cheetah first appeared in television commercials in the mid-1980s as a sleek, cool-cat mascot designed by the advertising agency DDB Needham. Created to replace the Cheetos Mouse, Chester was intended to appeal to a younger, edgier demographic through his sunglasses, gold sneakers, and mischievous personality. He quickly became a fixture in American pop culture, evolving from a simple commercial character into a recognizable brand icon.

The Funko Pop number 174 features Chester holding a bag of Cheetos, styled in the company's signature vinyl aesthetic. As part of the Ad Icons line, this collectible was produced to celebrate the long-standing cultural footprint of snack food marketing. It was received by the collecting community as a quintessential piece of brand-focused memorabilia, reflecting the trend of elevating nostalgic advertising mascots to the status of pop-culture collectibles.
