Where it came from
Nagini was released as part of the Funko Pop! Fantastic Beasts line, specifically identified as number 31 within the series dedicated to the 2018 film The Crimes of Grindelwald. The figure depicts the character in her human form, a Maledictus whose blood curse eventually forces her to transform permanently into a snake. This iteration of the character serves as a significant narrative bridge between the Fantastic Beasts prequel series and the established lore of the Harry Potter universe.
The design of the figure reflects the character's cinematic aesthetic, incorporating the intricate, period-appropriate costuming seen on screen. Like other figures in the Fantastic Beasts collection, the design focuses on Funko’s signature stylized aesthetic, featuring large, solid black eyes and a simplified, oversized head proportion. Upon release, it served as a collectible for fans tracking the evolving history of Voldemort’s future companion.
