Where it came from
Skips is part of the original wave of Pop! Television figures released to celebrate the popularity of the animated series Regular Show, which aired on Cartoon Network. The figure was released to capture the show’s distinct aesthetic, characterized by J.G. Quintel’s surrealist humor and the idiosyncratic designs of characters like Skips, the immortal yeti who serves as the park's grounding, albeit mysterious, presence.
The design of the figure translates the character’s bulky, rounded proportions into the iconic Funko silhouette. By focusing on his signature blue fur, stoic expression, and simple attire, the design team aimed to maintain the show's 2D artistic identity while adhering to the standard Pop! vinyl aesthetic. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series and established collectors looking for representation from the network's contemporary animation slate.
