Where it came from
The Skull Trooper Pop! figure was released as part of the initial wave of Funko's collaboration with Epic Games for the Fortnite franchise. Designed to commemorate the iconic 'Skull Trooper' outfit—one of the game's earliest and most recognizable character skins—it captures the skeletal aesthetic that became a staple of the title’s seasonal aesthetic during the 2017 and 2018 popularity surge.
The glow-in-the-dark variant was produced as a specialized chase-style release, emphasizing the eerie, supernatural theme of the original in-game cosmetic. Like much of the Pop! Games line, the design prioritizes Funko’s signature oversized head and simplified features, intended to make high-fidelity digital character models immediately accessible to a broad audience of gamers and vinyl toy enthusiasts.
