Where it came from
Zero, the spectral dog from Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', was reimagined as a Funko Pop! figure under the Disney banner. This specific iteration, characterized by its diamond-glitter finish, was produced as a limited edition exclusive, restricted to 3,000 pieces worldwide. It was created to cater to the growing community of specialized collectors who prioritize rarity and unique material finishes over the standard vinyl aesthetic.
The character design remains faithful to the original 1993 stop-motion puppet, emphasizing Zero's elongated ears, orange pumpkin nose, and translucent, spectral body. By applying a textured glitter coat, Funko aimed to evoke the ethereal, magical quality of the film's animation style. Upon its release, the figure was met with significant enthusiasm from fans of the franchise, quickly becoming a sought-after piece for those curating high-end collections of stylized pop culture memorabilia.
