LEGO Minifigures - Series 1 - Complete

Released in 2010, the Series 1 LEGO Minifigure collection marked a significant shift in the company's product strategy by offering individual characters in sealed, opaque foil bags. This format introduced a blind-box collecting mechanic that incentivized repeat purchases, fundamentally changing how consumers interacted with the brand and creating a robust secondary market for specific characters. The series was designed to showcase a diverse array of archetypes, ranging from historical figures like the Spartan Warrior to contemporary tropes such as the Skater and the Wrestler.

The character designs were conceptualized by the LEGO design team to demonstrate the versatility of the minifigure form, utilizing unique printing techniques and accessories that had previously been limited to larger, more expensive playsets. This inaugural series was met with widespread critical success, as collectors and children alike were drawn to the novelty of the collection and the high level of detail present in each figure. Its success paved the way for dozens of subsequent series, cementing the Collectible Minifigures line as a cornerstone of the modern LEGO catalog.
