Where it came from
Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja, was released as a minifigure in set 892179-1 in 2021 as part of the Lego Ninjago legacy line. The set was created to accompany the Ninjago magazine, a long-running publication that bridges the gap between the animated television series and physical play, providing younger fans with accessible character figures that often feature unique printing.
The design of this specific iteration of Lloyd focuses on his modern appearance within the franchise, characterized by his signature green ninja gi. The figure reflects the collaborative design process at the Lego Group, which aims to translate the high-energy aesthetic of the Ninjago show into a durable, collectible format. The figure was well-received by fans for its compact presentation and the inclusion of the character's core gear.
