Provenance

Where it came from

The Angel token from the Outlaws of Thunder Junction set was released in 2024 as part of the thematic expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This card serves as a supplementary token, utilized to represent creatures summoned by various spells and abilities within the set's western-themed narrative. The design captures the set's signature aesthetic, which blends high fantasy tropes with the rugged visual motifs of the American frontier.

The artwork for this specific token adheres to the established visual identity of the Outlaws of Thunder Junction line, focusing on the ethereal and powerful depictions typical of the Angel creature type in Magic lore. These tokens are produced by Wizards of the Coast to be functional game pieces, designed to be clearly distinguishable from the main deck cards while maintaining the artistic quality expected by the community. They are typically found in booster packs as a non-randomized inclusion that supports the set's broader mechanical gameplay.
