Boros Garrison

Boros Garrison was originally introduced in the 2005 Magic: The Gathering expansion Ravnica: City of Guilds as part of a cycle of bouncelands, which are non-basic lands that return a land to the owner's hand upon entering the battlefield. This specific version was reprinted in the 2017 Iconic Masters set, a collection curated to highlight iconic cards throughout the game's history. The card represents the military guild of the Boros Legion, reflecting their structured, aggressive, and red-white alignment within the overarching narrative of the plane of Ravnica.

The artwork featured on this iteration of the card was illustrated by Dan Scott, whose work has been a staple in the Magic: The Gathering card game for many years. His design captures the imposing, fortress-like architecture of the Boros guild halls, emphasizing the rigid order and architectural strength associated with the faction. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its utility in providing mana fixing while simultaneously enabling landfall triggers and land-based synergies, maintaining a consistent presence in casual and Commander formats.
