Crusade

The Crusade card originates from the 1994 Summer Magic set, also colloquially known as Edgar. This set was a limited release produced by Wizards of the Coast, primarily distributed in the summer of 1994 to serve as a promotional bridge and introduction to the Magic: The Gathering card game for newer markets. It features a curated selection of cards from the Revised Edition, distinguished by a slightly different card stock and, in some instances, revised artistic adjustments or color saturation compared to its predecessors.

The art for Crusade was famously illustrated by Sandra Everingham. Her work on this piece captures the theme of a holy charge with a classic fantasy aesthetic that defines the early era of the game.
