The Summer Magic set, known colloquially as Edgar, was produced in 1994 as a corrective print run intended to replace the previous Revised Edition. Following numerous errors and color issues in the 1994 release, Wizards of the Coast prepared a new set intended for retail release; however, most of the stock was accidentally destroyed or discarded, leaving only a small quantity that entered the secondary market. The set is notable for its refined, slightly darker color palette and corrected card text compared to its predecessors.
