Garruk, Unleashed Emblem

The Garruk, Unleashed emblem was released in 2020 as part of the Core Set 2021 tokens and emblems collection. It serves as a visual representation of the ultimate loyalty ability of the planeswalker card Garruk, Unleashed, which allows players to search their library for creatures and put them onto the battlefield. This design was created to facilitate gameplay by providing a physical reminder of the permanent passive effect granted by the planeswalker's final ability during a match.

The illustration for the emblem aligns with the aesthetic direction of the Core Set 2021, emphasizing the primal and beast-centric theme associated with the character Garruk Wildspeaker. As with other tokens and emblems from this era, the design team at Wizards of the Coast utilized a standardized frame to distinguish these non-deck cards from traditional gameplay cards. While emblems are functional game pieces rather than collectible art prints, they remain sought after by players who prefer using official Wizards-issued components to track game states.
