Goat

The Goat token, numbered 6 in the Planechase Anthology Tokens set, was issued by Wizards of the Coast as part of a 2016 compilation that collected the four previously released Planechase decks alongside a dedicated set of oversized plane cards and a unified collection of tokens. These tokens were produced to provide players with physical representations of creatures generated by game mechanics, specifically those created by the card 'Trading Post' or the plane 'Goldmeadow', which feature prominently in the associated deck archetypes.

The artistic direction for this token follows the established aesthetic of the Planechase series, prioritizing clear, functional design suitable for gameplay utility. While the specific illustrator for this token is credited within the broader pool of Magic: The Gathering artists, the visual intent was to provide a distinct, standardized companion piece for the chaotic, planar-focused environment of the game. It was received by the community as a useful organizational tool, serving as a clean visual indicator during complex board states.
