Myr

The Myr token from the Battlebond set, released in 2018, serves as a representation of a classic creature type within the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. Myr were originally introduced in the Mirrodin block as small, sentient mechanical constructs native to the metal world, designed to serve the plane's inhabitants. This specific version was issued for Battlebond, a set uniquely centered on Two-Headed Giant team-play mechanics and a thematic setting revolving around the competitive gladiatorial arenas of Kylem.

The illustration for this token follows the established aesthetic of the Myr, characterized by their distinct quadrupedal, modular mechanical frames and glowing ocular centers. While individual tokens in the game are often the result of collaborative efforts between art directors and freelance illustrators to maintain visual consistency across the broader franchise, this token adheres to the utilitarian and industrious visual language that has defined the Myr since their inception. Upon its release, it became a functional staple for players utilizing cards capable of generating these artifact creatures during matches.
