Myr

The Myr token, designated as collector number 23 in the Commander 2018 set, serves as a functional game piece for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. It represents a Myr, a recurring creature type originating from the Mirrodin plane, first introduced in 2003. These small, construct-like beings are central to the lore of Mirrodin, serving as the primary inhabitants and labor force for the metallic world.

This specific token was produced to support cards in the 2018 Commander release that generate Myr creature tokens during gameplay. The illustration follows the established aesthetic of the Myr, depicting a compact, utilitarian machine with a distinct, often whimsical, robotic silhouette. Like most token cards issued in supplemental sets, it was designed for clarity and ease of use at the game table, prioritizing functional utility over the complex narratives found on standard spell cards.
