Regrowth

Regrowth is one of the original cards from the 1993 Limited Edition Alpha set for Magic: The Gathering, designed by Richard Garfield to be a foundational green spell that allows a player to return a card from their graveyard to their hand. Its design reflects the early game's focus on resource recursion, establishing a mechanic that became a staple of the green color identity. The artwork, originally illustrated by Christopher Rush, is celebrated for its evocative, mystical depiction of nature's return, cementing the card's status as a classic in the game's history.

The 30th Anniversary Edition, which includes this version of Regrowth as card number 210, was released by Wizards of the Coast in 2022 to commemorate three decades of the game. These cards feature a distinct back design and were created as non-tournament-legal collectibles intended for commemorative and casual play purposes. The set recreates the aesthetic of the early years, allowing collectors to experience the visual legacy of the original sets while maintaining the rarity and prestige of the game's formative era.
