Relentless Assault

Relentless Assault is a sorcery card originally printed in the 1999 expansion Mercadian Masques. The card functions as a core staple of red Magic: The Gathering strategy, granting players an additional combat phase. This iteration features updated art and frame treatments consistent with the Mystery Booster 2 release, which was designed to celebrate the history of the game by curating a diverse array of cards from across its decades-long lifespan.

The original visual direction for Relentless Assault sought to capture the chaotic, high-energy essence of relentless combat through dynamic imagery of organized warfare. Over the years, the card has been reprinted in various sets and special collections to ensure its accessibility for Commander and other casual formats, where the ability to attack multiple times remains a defining and beloved mechanical hallmark of red deck archetypes.
