Where it came from
Sigarda's Aid was originally released in the 2016 expansion Eldritch Moon. As a staple enchantment for decks relying on Equipment and Auras, the card gained significant popularity for its ability to provide flash and attach gear to creatures at no cost. This version is part of the Secret Lair series, a line of premium, curated card drops featuring specialized, thematic art treatments that diverge from the standard aesthetic of the core game.
The Secret Lair iteration of this card features unique illustrative work designed to reflect the card's theme of divine intervention and celestial protection. By commissioning distinct artistic styles, Wizards of the Coast sought to appeal to collectors and players interested in high-fantasy aesthetics that stand apart from the traditional sets. The card was well-received by the player base for its utility in competitive formats and its striking, individualized visual presentation.
