Where it came from
Sigarda's Aid was originally released in the 2016 expansion Eldritch Moon, designed as a rare enchantment to support Equipment and Aura-based strategies within Magic: The Gathering. The card quickly became a staple in competitive formats like Modern, where its ability to grant flash to cards and automatically attach them to creatures upon entry created efficient, high-tempo interactions for white-aligned decks.
The Secret Lair Drop version, numbered 1727, was released as part of a curated series that reimagined classic cards through distinct artistic lenses. This particular iteration features illustration by Johannes Voss, who leaned into the ethereal and divine aesthetic associated with the character Sigarda, emphasizing her role as an angelic protector of Innistrad. The release was well-received by collectors who prioritize the premium foil treatments and alternative art styles that define the Secret Lair brand.
