Sun Titan

Sun Titan was originally introduced in the 2011 Magic: The Gathering core set, designed as part of a cycle of powerful creature cards meant to highlight the fundamental strengths of the five color identities. The card features a triggered ability that allows a player to return a low-cost permanent from the graveyard to the battlefield, embodying the white color's focus on resurrection and battlefield stability. This specific printing comes from the 2021 Kaldheim Commander set, which sought to bring foundational staples to a new generation of players through secondary expansion decks.

The illustration for this iteration was created by Todd Lockwood, a veteran artist known for his significant contributions to fantasy gaming and the Dungeons & Dragons aesthetic. Lockwood’s design emphasizes the imposing, celestial stature of the Titan, utilizing dramatic lighting and heavy armor to convey a sense of divine authority and weight. The card has been well-received by the player base over the years, maintaining a reputation as a durable, value-generating engine in various multiplayer formats.
