Where it came from
Time Reversal was originally released in the 2010 Magic: The Gathering set Scars of Mirrodin, designed as a sorcery that resets both players' hands to seven cards. It represents a recurring effect in the game's history intended to disrupt established strategies and provide a fresh start for players facing a depleted hand, serving as a spiritual successor to older, more powerful draw spells.
The Secret Lair Drop version, numbered 1499, was released as part of the 'Calling All Hydra Heads' collection. This specific iteration features stylized, vibrant artwork designed to appeal to collectors who favor the unique, often experimental aesthetic that defines the Secret Lair series, which focuses on limited-run reprints with distinct artistic treatments distinct from the standard card frames found in mainstream expansion sets.
