Where it came from
Will, Scion of Peace is a legendary creature card released as part of the Wilds of Eldraine set in 2023. This version, identified by collector number 218p, serves as a promotional variant of the card, highlighting the character Will Kenrith within the set's fairy-tale inspired setting. The card depicts a mature version of the planeswalker, reflecting the narrative shifts occurring within the Magic: The Gathering multiverse at the time of its release.
The art for this specific iteration was crafted to emphasize Will's role as a protector and his connection to the color identity of white and blue. As a promotional offering, this card was designed for players and collectors interested in alternate card treatments, utilizing distinct aesthetic choices to separate it from the standard card frame found in booster packs. It received attention for its utility in commander formats and its thematic importance to the Eldraine storyline.
