Monkey.D.Luffy

The Monkey.D. Luffy character card from the ST-16 Green Uta starter deck was released as part of the expansion of the One Piece Card Game, a strategic trading card game published by Bandai. This specific card serves as a promotional inclusion, reflecting the game's ongoing effort to integrate iconic characters from the long-running manga and anime series into its competitive mechanics. The set draws its primary theme from the film One Piece Film: Red, focusing on the character Uta and her thematic connections to the Straw Hat crew.

The visual design follows the aesthetic established by the game’s core art team, prioritizing high-energy character illustrations that mirror the dynamic animation style of the Toei Animation series. The card features a classic portrayal of Luffy in his signature attire, designed to appeal to both long-time fans of the series and collectors of the trading card game. Since its release, the card has been received as a foundational component for players utilizing the green-colored deck archetype, valued for its utility within the game's specific color-coded play style.
