Portgas.D.Ace (Parallel)

The Portgas D. Ace (OP02-013) character card was released in 2022 as part of the Paramount War expansion for the One Piece Card Game, published by Bandai. The set focuses on the Marineford arc of the original manga and anime series, a pivotal storyline where Ace plays a central role. This specific parallel version features exclusive, high-quality character art distinct from the standard card, catering to players and collectors who prioritize thematic visual appeal.

The design of this card leans into the dramatic, high-stakes aesthetic of the Summit War era. By utilizing unique foil treatments and stylized illustrations, the creators sought to capture the intensity of the character's fire-based abilities and his emotional significance to the series narrative. As a staple in competitive red-attribute decks during the set's release, the card received significant attention for its balance of aesthetic value and utility in gameplay, cementing its status as one of the more sought-after parallels from the early era of the game.
