Where it came from
The Tashigi (OP02-105) card was released as part of the Paramount War expansion for the One Piece Card Game, which debuted in late 2022. As a box topper, this specific card was included as a promotional incentive within sealed booster boxes, serving as a tactical reinforcement for the Navy-themed decks prevalent in the set's meta-game. The card features the character Tashigi, a captain in the Marine headquarters, rendered in the clean, high-contrast aesthetic characteristic of the game's art direction.
The illustration emphasizes Tashigi's stoic role during the Marineford arc, capturing her signature swordsmanship and uniform. Designed to bolster the Navy archetype's ability to manipulate board states, the card was well-received by competitive players for its utility in lowering opponent character costs. Like many pieces in the Paramount War set, it reflects the game's commitment to integrating iconic manga panels and character stills into a functional, strategic framework.
