The recording reflects the sophisticated production standards of Columbia’s regional divisions at the time, prioritizing the clarity of the vocal performance and the traditional instrumentation that defined Khanum's sound. By focusing on the interplay between melodic structure and poetic delivery, the release was designed to appeal to both connoisseurs of classical music and a broader audience who resonated with the soulful, evocative nature of her vocal style, which earned her widespread acclaim throughout South Asia.
