Where it came from
Released in 1976 by the Italian label Cinevox Record, Storico Vol 1 was part of a specialized series curated for the film and television industry. Cinevox was renowned for its deep library of library music and soundtracks, and this compilation functioned as a production tool intended for filmmakers, editors, and broadcasters to license as high-quality background music for documentary or period-specific programming.
The album features a variety of compositions designed to evoke a sense of grandeur and historical gravity. The production aesthetic aligns with the lush, orchestral, and often experimental soundscapes prevalent in Italian library music of the mid-1970s. While not a commercial pop release, the record is highly regarded today by crate diggers and producers who appreciate the cinematic arrangements and the distinctive sonic fingerprint of the Cinevox studio era.
